UPDATED NOVEMBER 5 — FOURTH INYO ELECTION-NIGHT REPORT. The race for three Owens Valley Unified school-board seats has changed order since the first mail-ballot release. Alisa M. Lynch leads with 75 candidate selections (27.88%), followed by Alisa Lee with 68 (25.28%), Kaysi Scott with 66 (24.54%), and Jenna M. Horiuchi with 60 (22.30%). Scott now holds the third reported position by six votes; in the first report below, Horiuchi was 10 ahead of Scott. These are candidate selections in a vote-for-three election, not shares of unique voters. The data come from the fourth Inyo unofficial summary, 12:13 a.m. November 4. The county lists thousands of ballots still awaiting processing, so no trustee election is certified. Read how many ballots remain countywide. The first-report values preserved below show how the candidate rankings changed.
Historical first mail-ballot report
OWENS VALLEY / INDEPENDENCE, Inyo County — November 4, 2026. An early return shows a 10-vote gap between the third- and fourth-ranked candidates in the Owens Valley Unified School District election for three board seats. The first county report included early ballots but no Election Day precincts.
Initial candidate totals
The first semi-official Inyo County report, published at 8 p.m. November 3, listed Alisa M. Lynch with 60 candidate selections, Alisa Lee with 50, Jenna M. Horiuchi with 47 and Kaysi Scott with 37. Those corresponded to 30.93%, 25.77%, 24.23%, and 19.07% of the 194 candidate selections reported.
Why these are not final
The district serves part of Inyo County and does not constitute an incorporated municipality with a directly elected mayor. The board oversees public-school administration according to state law. Each percentage refers to candidate selections in a three-seat race, not a turnout percentage.
All remaining polling-place and eligible mail votes may change the order, including which candidates occupy the third position. Inyo County Elections will issue subsequent reports and certify results after the canvass.
Reporting timestamp: November 3, 2026, 8:00 p.m. Pacific. Unofficial first report.
